
Bio
DG Sherry Bingamon
Lion Sherry joined the Mount Orab Lions Club in October of 2003 along with her late husband, Lion Jim when invited by the late PID Floyd Newberry. She has served as President for two separate terms and Membership Chair. She has been a valuable contributor with various other endeavors of the club.
Lion Sherry was a member of the district MERL team and helped start a new Lions Club in Blanchester. She has served as Zone Chair for two separate terms. Lion Sherry served as District Governor during the 2013-14 Lions year.
Lion Sherry received the Council of Governors Award in 2005-06 and the International President’s Leadership Award in 2009-10 and in 2017-2018. She has received various other recognitions from District governors during her service as a Lion. Lion Sherry has been the Global Leadership Team member representing District OH6 on the State GLT Committee the last three years.
In addition to serving her community as a Lion, she volunteers at the Southern Ohio Veteran’s Home and serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for the volunteer Committee in Georgetown OH.
Lion Sherry is retired as a bank manager and is the proud grandmother of 2 granddaughters and 3 great grandsons.
