Helen Keller - 100th Anniverary Ornaments

Ohio Lions and Wendell August Forge are honored to present this limited edition ornament. At the 1925 Lions International Convention at Cedar Point, Ohio, Helen Keller presented her challenge to the Lions to be her “Knights of the Blind”. Her cause lives on as today’s Lions provide vision services worldwide as one of eight global initiatives. All Ohio Lions proceeds benefit LCIF.

LCIF Icon Disaster Relief smOhio Lions District OH1 has partnered with the Logan County United Way to support the relief and recovery efforts taking place after the EF3 Tornado on March 14th which flattened the communities of Russells Point and Lakeview, Ohio, as well as causing extensive damage in surrounding rural areas.  You may make donations in the following ways.

Vernon Lee FrenchPDG Vernon Lee “Vern” French passed away March 3, 2024. PDG Vern was a member of Bryan Lions Club and served as District Governor for Dist-A in 1996-97. Lion Vern retired in 2001 and lived at Sunbird Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona.

Visitation will be Friday, July 26, 2024, and a celebration of life Saturday, July 27, 2024, both in Bryan at a location yet to be determined. Interment with military rites will follow the celebration of life at Shiffler Cemetery, Bryan.

Memorials may be made to the Vernon L. French Memorial Scholarship in care of Bryan Area Foundation, P O Box 651, Bryan, Ohio, 43506.
