Bio
DG Suzanne Diehm
District Governor Suzanne (Sue) Diehm is a charter member of the Bloom-Carroll Lions Club, which chartered in 1992. She has held the club offices of President, Vice President, and Secretary. She has been the club tail twister for several years.
Sue has been a member of the District 13K cabinet since 1995, beginning as district newsletter proofreader, then assistant zone chair, zone chair, member of the MERL team (Leadership), and her current position as District OH7 Coordinator of the Global Leadership Team (GLT). Sue has also served as Convention Co-Chair for three Past District Governors.
Sue has attended all but two district conventions, several state conventions, nine international conventions, and every USA/Canada Forum since 1995. She has been a member of the Winter Retreat committee since its inception in 2010.
Sue has received a Knight for Sight, 3 Governor’s Appreciation awards, 3 Ohio Lions Council of Governors’ Award of Merit, a Council of Governors’ Award, an International Leadership Certificate, an International President’s Certificate of Appreciation, and an International Leadership medal. She is a Melvin Jones Fellow and a graduate of the Senior Lions Leadership Institute.
Sue is married to Lion Paul of the Carroll Lions Club. She is a retired editor of The McGraw-Hill Publishing Company, and is a member of their 25 year club. DG Sue and Lion Paul are the parents of two adult daughters and have two grandchildren.
