DG Sara Camacho
DG Sara is a 14-year member of the Marietta Noon Lions where she has served as the 92nd Club President, as well as numerous committee chairs and other board positions. Sara is passionate about service, leadership and why we are Lions. On the State/District level, Sara serves as the OH-7 Chair for the Ohio Lions Pediatric Cancer Foundation and the district STEPS Walk/Run Coordinator. Her theme is “Strength through Service: because we are stronger as a Pride and strengthen our communities through our service.
Sara is a RLLI 2 graduate, has a bachelor’s degree from Lions University, and is receiving her master’s this October in Reno, NV. She is a continuous donor to LCIF, because they provide the most humanitarian good for those around the world. Sara has also sponsored 6 new members during her time as a Lion. She is a Melvin Jones Fellow and Dick Bryant Fellow, has 14-years of perfect attendance, and has received the International President’s Award. She also recently became a Guiding Lion.
In her free time, Sara is a fur momma to her Therapy Dog, Boomer - who works at the Washington County Boys and Girls Club - and cats Thor and Momma. She also golfs frequently, plays softball, loves to cook, kayak, and spend time with family and friends. Her partner in service is Everett Reed, who you can find driving the golf cart, as they travel the country, chasing the weather and best greens.
