Through the Ohio Lions Foundation, Lions of District OH4 are providing residents of East Palestine, OH with gift cards to address citizens’ immediate living needs.
The initial distribution of gift cards was held on Friday, February 24; the allotment of gift cards was exhausted in two hours time. A successor Lions gift card distribution is set for Wednesday, March 1, 2023 for local residents. These Lions gift cards, totalling $10,000 to date, are assisting the community in helping meet their needs.
The Ohio Lions Foundation is the disaster relief resource which funds the in-state gift card distribution, as overseen by OH4 Lions clubs nearest East Palestine.
In communication with the East Palestine City Administration, state and federal agencies are providing the community with cleaning supplies, food and water to local residents impacted by the train derailment and its aftermath.
