Greetings Fellow Lions of Ohio,

When natural disasters strike, Lions are the first to help. With a disaster grant, they can do even more for communities  devastated by hurricanes, floods, fires, and other major events. As a foundation, Lions Clubs International Foundation is proud to offer a variety of grant opportunities to support various stages of disaster relief operations.

Hurricane Mellisa is forecasted to have a dramatic impact on the Caribbean to include Jamaica, Cuba, and the Bahamas this coming week.

If the weather forecast is correct, it may have a devastating affect that could be catastrophic.

I urgently request your immediate consideration in donating to LCIF through its LCIF Disaster Relief Fund. These donations can be made electronically online through the LCIF page on the LCI website and portal. In addition, checks can be mailed to either your District LCIF Coordinator or to the following address.

Since 1969 LCIF has been awarded 22,000 plus LCIF Grants, has provided US$167 million in disaster relief support, has supported twenty plus million Lions Quest students and financially provided US$9.7 million for cataract surgeries.

Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) is the global foundation supporting the 1.4 million members of Lions Clubs International through grant funds that expand our compassionate work and empower our service at home and around the world.

Please give from your heart so that many can be helped. Not only during this hurricane disaster but for those many causes that Lions Clubs International serves.

Giving empowers service. When you support LCIF, 100% of your donation benefits the very grants and programs that empower the compassionate service of Lions and Leos, and those who need our help.

Your generosity has a powerful impact!

Thank you very much,
