Bio

DG Jackie Miller

DG Jackie has two cats; six year old, Lillie and two year old, Bella. She joined the Canal Winchester Lions Club in 2004 and held many officer positions, including President.

On the District level, DG Jackie has held the positions of Council of Governors Appointee to the Financial Oversight Committee, Marketing and Communications Committee, Zone Chair, Region Chair, Newsletter Editor, Convention co-chair, and USA/Canada Forum Coordinator.

Beyond the District Level, she served as a USA/Canada Forum Moderator and photographer and was a presenter at the International Convention. She completed Level 3 of the Regional Lions Leadership Institute, and earned the Master’s Degree from Lions University.

DG Jackie is a James Coffey Fellow, a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, and a Dick Neiderhauser Fellow. She has received a Helen Keller Sight Saver award, a Council of Governor’s Award of Merit, many Presidential Certificates of Appreciation in Ohio and one in Mississippi and sponsored many members into Lionism. She is also a pin trader and has been to many USA/Canada Forums and International Conventions.

DG Jackie is a 29-year veteran of State Auto Insurance Company where she has worked in various capacities, from underwriting (personal lines, bonds, and commercial lines of business) to business continuity dealing with strategic and tactical decision making. She currently works in personal lines as a corporate staff underwriting specialist.

Outside of State Auto, DG Jackie owns her own photography business, Jack’s Photography, and a public speaking business, Women in Leadership – talking about women in history, including of course, Helen Keller to Lions everywhere.

She is active in her community where she received a Pillar of the Community award in 2018 and is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. In any spare time she can find, she likes to scrapbook, read, and play golf.
