A native of Ashland, Ohio, Lion Stan graduated from Ashland High
School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Ashland
University. He is the Senior Manager of IS Operations for WIL Research
Laboratories, LLC.
Lion Stan is the father of two children, Stanley Junior (Gene) and Charles
(Chip). He is the proud grandfather of two granddaughters, Cheyenne and Shawnee.
Lion Stan attends Trinity Lutheran Church in Ashland and has served on the Board
of Directors and is an assisting minister, cantor, and assistant choir
librarian. He sings with the Chancel Choir, the Trinity Singers and the Trinity
Men’s Chorus as well as the Ashland Area Chorus. Lion Stan also serves the
greater Ashland Community as a Board of Health director (finance committee and
past president), Ashland County Red Cross board director (finance committee
chair), the Hospice of North Central Ohio (Treasurer) and the Ashland County
United Way (allocations and industrial division).
Lion Stan joined the Ashland (Noon) Lions Club in October of 1993. He has served
as Club President, Assistant Treasurer, Song Leader, Membership Chair and
director. He has served his district as Zone 7 Chair, 13B Newsletter Editor (two
years), Chair of the MERL Team, Deputy District Governor, and Vice District
Governor. He has received a Membership Key, International President’s
Appreciation Award, Council of Governors medal and International Leadership
medal. Lion Stan has attended many local, state, and international conventions.
Lion Stan likes target shooting, archery, golf, coin collecting and watching
baseball and football.
Lion Stan‘s Theme for the year 2008-2009 is Brilliant Past, Shining Future.
