Organization Charter and Closed Dates of Lions Clubs in Ohio.
1920–2008.

When I started this project in August of 2007, The original 13 Lions Clubs that were presented their charters at the first District Convention held in Columbus, Ohio on October 14, 1920; Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Hamilton, Lima, Newark, Piqua, Springfield, Toledo, and Youngstown were still intact. Since then the Columbus Downtown club has closed.

Some Clubs for what ever reason dropped and tried it again. If a club dropped and reorganized, the record will show the Clubs charter and closed date and the reorganization date.
Some Clubs even changed there name, anyone remember “Magic City” or "Knollwood" so I have posted those clubs and made notes.
I have also posted notes on Clubs that merged if known.
I have tried to be as accurate as possible with the information I have collected, but if you see any errors, additions or corrections please contact me at:

Wanted old District & State directories to borrow and scan information from 1920-1966.
