To the Lions, Lioness and Leos of MD 13,

Welcome to the first on-line issue of the Ohio Lion!  On behalf of the Council of Governors of MD 13, I want to congratulate Lions Mark Page and Bill Keller for all their hard work to make this new venture a reality.  We hope that the Lions of Ohio will be frequent visitors to our web site and use it as a regular resource.  It has so much to offer:  news, information, forms; it is a one stop source for all of Ohio’s club officers and Lions.

As we move forward our web presence will grow and improve, and we need your feedback to provide those features that will be useful to you in your Lion’s mission.  Please e-mail your suggestions to our Webmaster Lion Bill Keller or speak with your Governor about your vision of Ohio Lions on the web.

Your Council of Governors is working hard to continue a service oriented, fiscally responsible state organization.  We have reached out to the advertising and marketing firm Holcomb, Gallagher and Adams of Columbus to advise and assist in our marketing materials and approaches.  Additionally, Independent Marketing Consultant John Pribble has come forward to advise us on the most effective ways to maximize our message of volunteerism and service.  Both of these fine firms are doing this pro bono in recognition of the good the Ohio Lions do for community and the world.

It is vital for all of us to move forward to keep our association current.  Lions Clubs International President T.S. Lee has chosen as his personal theme “Innovation,” and we Lions in Ohio need to embrace that theme.

So spread the word about our web site to the members of your club, and use our web pages regularly as your resource for Ohio Lions information.  Remember, WE SERVE in the 21st century!

 Yours in Lionism,
Jeff Hillis, Chairperson
M.D. 13 Council of Governors
